premier jour
so me and Vida have arrived in Paris :). We got in at 1am US time and 10am Paris time and now it is 12:40 and after a long day we are about to head to bed! We got to see the Eiffel tower in all it's glory at night and to make it more of a welcome someone decided to turn on all the shiny lights to welcome us off the metro. Unbelievable! Before crepes du fromage et chocolat under the Eiffel tower we got to see the Sacre-coeur and sit in the church for a little bit. Amazing and beautiful architecture. any recommendations for Paris and Barcelona are welcome :). bonne nuit!

You are gonna love it in Paris!!!! If you're gonna be there for a while and using the metro a lot then I recommend getting a Navigo pass. In my experience it turned out to be cheaper than just buying tickets all the time and more convenient. For sightseeing stuff: go to the top of the Arc de Triomphe and you'll get a great view of Paris and the Champs Elysees. Another thing you can do is take a ride on the Bateau Mouche. If you go around sunset with a bottle of wine ;) it'll be perfect.
ReplyDeleteIf you're in Paris for a little bit then definitely don't try to see as many monuments and museums as possible. Instead, just do some touristy stuff and spend the rest of the time just walking around and go into some nice little cafe for a break.
